Dying Light the Gathering Continue Aiding the Children of the Sun

The Gathering is the fifth story quest of Dying Light: The Following.[1]

I finally met the Mother and the Faceless. I went to the ceremony, they put me in a strange trance and... a zombie just ignored me! It's like perfect camouflage! What's going on here?! I gotta get in better with them so I can figure this out!

Walkthrough
After having sufficiently aided the people living in the Countryside, Crane will be contacted by an Acolyte of The Faceless, who will ask him to meet The Mother near the Lake of the Sun. Head to the lake, which is located in the far northwestern part of the map and follow the road leading up. Head up the path leading up the mountain and through the cave to find a small temple.
Enter the courtyard to find several of the Faceless and some worshippers, as well as some infected roaming around. Kaan is also present and praying on his knees to the Mother. The Acolytes walk around with incense to keep the infected pacified and will start a chant.

At the end of the chant, the Mother appears. Two of the Acolytes jump down and begin walking through the crowd of worshippers with the incense. One of them will take Crane up the platform, which is when the Mother will speak to Crane telepathically, after which Crane will pass out. Upon waking up again, a small plane can be seen crashing into the Countryside, which will mark the start of the side quest Crash Boom Bang. While walking back down to the main road, a Faceless Acolyte will contact Crane over the radio. After leaving the cave, Crane will contact Lena to inform her of his status, unfortunately the connection is severed shortly after the conversation is started. Get back out into the Countryside again.

While in the Countryside, Jasir will contact Crane. Head back to Jasir and speak to him to learn that someone from the military died recently and Jasir wanted to give Crane a keycard he had left. Take the Military keycard and talk to Jasir again.
